Mardi Gras at JJN!

We kicked off the Lenten Season "Mardi Gras" style, with music and a masked parade. Each student decorated their own masks and danced and sung throughout the hallways. It was a great way to work up an appetite for the pancake lunch that was served. Check out our gallery for more great pictures.

Shrove Tuesday is a day for celebration because it is the last day before Lent. Lent is the period of time leading up to Easter. It is a time of sacrifice for Jesus. The purpose of Lent is to prepare us through prayer, penitence and almsgiving for the annual commemoration during Holy Week of the death and resurrection of Jesus.
